Play park improvements upgrading

Clevedon residents produced a detailed and aspirational review of our play parks for which North Somerset Council launched a matched funding offer to upgrade play parks.

After assessing all the sites for space and safety suitability, Clevedon Town Council is happy to announce that their application has been successful, and the orders are now in place to add a variety of play equipment for installation in three playparks:

  • Strode Road will be gaining a Crazy Daisy 4-way Springer
  • Teignmouth Road will have a small trim trail for toddlers installed
  • Homeground (off Kenn Moor Drive) will be receiving upgraded flat, toddler and basket swings, a multi seesaw and an agility trail.

The safety matting will also be replaced where necessary on each of the sites.

North Somerset Council have also committed to the upgrading of Cherry Avenue and Esmond Grove playparks this financial year, and Salthouse Fields next financial year.
